More than 800 missing in ill fated ship

June 24, 2008 / by ygermino

Year after year, after year, since decades ago....  every summer, every typhoon season... ships sink, people die, lives are changed.. just because of apathetic maritime regulations.

I think in the Philippines, the maritime authorities does not consider waves are dangerous for  travel, only when a passenger ship actually sinks.

Typhoon is not strong enough, unless roofs are torn and school children die from flash floods just because their classes were cut short and they had to walk home.

When will this ever end? Will it ever?

Damn all the ship companies and all the maritime officials.

They should be put to court and be required to pay millions of pesos for each life lost...... to teach them a hard lesson on Safety and learn how to value other people's lives.
